What are the different countries where I can be placed as a medical professional?
What does my journey look like as a nursing professional wanting to be placed in the UK?
Nursing professionals who want to be placed in the UK undergo three phases: onboarding, training and visa, and deployment.
- Apollo Knowledge’s group entity, GWD (Global Workforce Development), screens applicants. Once an applicant clears the pre-assessment tests, the documents are collected. The applicant then receives English language training (OET/IELTS), and once the applicant clears the English language test, the NMC application process starts.
- Once the applicant clears CBT, the applicant would clear the NHS interview to get the offer letter. Then, after some compliance documentation and getting a certificate of sponsorship from NHS, the candidate should apply for a skilled worker visa and travel to the UK.
- In the UK, the person would start working as a Band 3/4 nurse. Once the nurse clears the OSCE exam, the nurse can get the NMC registration as a PIN nurse to start working as a Band 5 RGN.
